Some aspects of the Circular Economy

To achieve a circular economy system, consumers have to think about what they need to buy and opt for more environmentally friendly solutions.

Businesses, for their part, have a crucial role to play, as they can choose to make environmentally friendly choices with a high impact, such as reducing the use of single-use plastics and replacing them with more sustainable materials that help make the circular economy work.

What is needed to make the circular model work ❔

The main thing is to boost public-private partnerships by promoting programmes and official aid for innovation in order to reconvert processes, facilities, supplies and tax measures, as well as support for training and quality employment.

What are the benefits of the circular economy

✅ It reduces pressure on the environment

It provides solutions to the problem of scarcity of resources and raw materials by establishing processes and mechanisms that allow resources to be used in a sustainable way.

Promotes innovation at different levels (personal, business, public, governmental, etc.).

At Landfillsolutions we have an example of Circular Economy, our 🍃REVALUO system, which manages and recovers waste with a low emission system.

✔️It recovers waste that has some value and can be recycled or reused. This would be the case for metals, glass, paper and cardboard.

✔️It reuses distilled water for the production of bioethanol in the Revastex processes and, with the heat generated in the Thermolysis, the electricity supply of the treatment plant itself is also covered.

✔️Valorises waste by converting it into energy sources and alternative products. In this way, we manage to recover around 90% of the waste and return it to the economy in a clean way (less than 4g/h of CO2 per tonne treated).
