FAQ

What materials can Thermolysis process?

Thermolysis can process a wide range of waste materials including municipal waste (SUW), commercial and industrial waste, fuel derived from garbage, plastics, tires, wood waste, green waste, sewage sludge and many hazardous waste. It is possible to mix several of these types of waste and process them together.

How many houses can be supplied with energy with a 2MWh plant?

Approximately 5.880 homes with a consumption of 3.4 Kw/h.

What about the emissions of the process?

The tests in the plants in operation in the EU show that Thermolysis is well below the parameters admitted in the European Waste Incineration Directive
(WID).

The gases produced during the Thermolysis process are collected by a gasifier that treats, cleans and deposits them in a tank. Inside this tank, by means of a system of aerators, the different gases are mixed so that they are not deposited in layers according to their density. These gases will be used as fuel for a cogeneration engine with which electricity and heat will be produced at the same time.

What is the average performance of a 2MWh Thermolysis machine?

The Thermolysis machine will consume 2 tonnes of pellets per hour during 8,000 hours (24 x 7 x 11 months).

How much waste can we process?

The minimum process of our Thermolysis plant is 2 tons of waste per hour. Additional 2 tons Modules can be added to achieve the necessary performance. The modular construction means that it can be dimensional for any quantity by adding several units optimizing costs.
